von Natur was started in the great Northwest state of Oregon. Inspired by Portland herself, von Natur has captured the very essence of the natural setting of this big, little city and bottled it. Portland is an escape from reality in many ways; beautiful green parks, rivers running throughout, floral arrangements gracing our hillsides, picturesque mountains in view, and an ocean so close you can almost smell it.

von Natur, translates “from Nature” or “of Nature”.  The preposition “von”  was used in Germany and Austria to distinguish noble names.  For example, the family members of the baron of the village Mohs would be named von Mohs.  In more modern times people who were elevated to nobility had “von” added to their surname.  For example, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe had “von” added to his name due to his achievements in literature.  While the use of “von” for a surname ended in 1919, we at von Natur have brought back the nobility of “von” as we use it to define everything that we do.  Our products and ingredients are from nature, they are the finest and best that nature has to offer.  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote, “When the still unfashioned earth, Lay on God's eternal breast, He ordained its hour of birth, With creative joy possessed. Then a heavy sigh arose, When He spoke the sentence: -- "Be!" And the All, with mighty throes, Burst into reality.”  We at von Natur have taken all that was created at “Be” and bottled it to feed your skin, mind and body from nature.
